Jerry Garcia's 70th, Just Jack, Zoogma and AmpLive

Just Jack released a home recorded lo-fi EP, Rough/Ready, with 4 songs of kushy goodness, Fight Club samples, and acoustic noodling.  It's really hard to tack on a genre, but he's somewhere between hiphop and ambient pop.  Give it a shot, you won't.

In honor of Jerry's 70th birthday, movies theatres around the country are playing the Grateful Dead Movie in it's entirety, for one night only, on August 1st at 7:00 PM.  The show will also include a special interview with Jason Kruetzman and a tour of TRI Studio.  Here's a list of all the theatres in the country that are down with the Dead.

After playing Electric Forest this past weekend, Mississippi's own Zoogma presented their "Wet Hot American Mixtape", which wins the Best Mixtape Title award.  Lot's of glitchy samples, dubby instrumentals and hard drums, this is a 4-song dance party.

Lastly, AmpLive remixes The Submarines "1940", and it's great.
