Jack Beats - "Out of Body"

Here's some fresh Jack Beats after their several month hiatus. It's funky, shiny, awesome stuff, and the title is dope. It's a little more relaxed than their previous bangers, but I still love it either way. Thanks to The Music Ninja for the link.

Stay Ali - "Emotional Day"

Groovin' groovin' groovin'. "Emotional Day" is a track from Swedish group Stay Ali. The vocals sound odd at first, but the music and production are suhweet. It sounds like Bag Raiders x Dada Life x Fred Falke.

Passion Pit - "Tonight, Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins cover)"

This is truly an incredibly well done cover, it has a life of it's own. I never thought Smashing Pumpkins could sound so blissed out and spacey, or that the singer from Passion Pit could sound remotely like Billy Corgan. Just sign up for their mailing list to grab a free download, it's really gweat.

O'spade - "Pay Off (Sam Sparro & Golden WERQ remix)"

This is fresh from the vine folks. Released yesterday exclusively on beatport, its a fucking fantastic song, the only downside being that it's not available anywhere else on the internet and you must pay $2.49 for it here if you wish to listen to it at your own leisure. I'm sure it will be available for free download somewhere in a few days, but until then groove to the Sam Sparro goodness.

Metric - "Help I'm Alive (80kidz remix)"

Well... Metric is awesome, and 80kidz are awesome, so that's basically what can be expected when the two come together. This remix and The Twelves remix are the best two out there. Emily Haines never sounded so sexy.

A Must Have:

Metric - "Help! I'm Alive (The Twelves remix)"

Dada Life - "Big Time (Original Mix)"

Dada Life are awesome, they consistently pump out banger material as well as remixing the shit out of everything they can get their hands on. This is one of their own jams, and might I say- it's a mighty jam.

Crystal Castles - "Untrust Us (Alex Zelenka Remix)"

I thought this song was in another language the first time I heard it, which I didn't even mind because it sounded cool. I was later informed as to what the song was actually about, and liked it even more. This remix by Alex Zelenka adds some bass, wobble and kick to the mix- it's neat.

Inspired Flight - "It's the Chemicals (ft. Scarub)"

I have no idea who Inspired Flight actually is, but this sounds a lot like Lemon Jelly, so It's got the golden seal of approval. Sounds like: Lemon Jelly + Modest Mouse + STS9. The voice samples are really sweet, the production is great, and Scarub (of Living Legends) spits some organic truth.

"Just remember... it's the chemicals."

Sublime - "Doin' Time (Zed's Dead Summer Grime remix)"

Grimy, grimy indeed. Zed's Dead remixes tend to be ridiculously heavy and fucking philthy, which is not really my jam, but this one was too cool to pass up. I mean, Sublime... really? If you ever get the chance to hold an industrial rave in the afternoon this summer, put this first on the playlist.

Michael Franti - "Skin On The Drum (Bassnectar remix)"

I've never been a fan of Michael Franti. For some reason I always thought he was pretty lame, but I also only saw him live once. However, I heard this little ditty the other day and had no choice but to decide that he is a boss. And as usual, Bassnectar is still boss. Franti sounds a lot like Saul Williams on this one, switching between spoken word poetry and rhythmic chanting. The beat is great, and Bassnectar gives it a little extra tweaking. A big thanks to Erin for this. (Unfortunately you can't get the track anywhere else besides itunes, but it's worth shelling out $4.95)

"I was born botanical,
the soul of an animal
deep beneath the layers, I sink my roots
no need for mechanical-
I come strictly organical."
