Zach Deputy @ Mexicali Live, 5-29-12

This is my new favorite venue in NJ.  Unbeatable beer selection, solid guacamole, and Zach Deputy for $10.  We missed the opener, Ghost Head, and probably a few songs from Zach's short set, but the rest of the show was funky.
Check out the video of "Into the Morning", and grab the SBD for some smooth, smooth grooves.

Princeton - "Grand Rapids (RAC remix)"

RAC has been on the ball lately.  Here is their newest bit of work, a remix of Princeton's "Grand Rapids" released this morning, as well as The Magician's minimalist take on RAC's first single "Hollywood".
Everyone is remixing everyone.

Summertime

Has officially started, which means more music and less work.  Dope new Dirty Heads songs from the upcoming album 'Cabin By the Sea', out on June 19th, two bluegrass covers of Misfits songs, and the newest Summer Mix by Chris Weld.

Respects

This morning, Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys passed away.  MCA was only 49 years old, but his impact on music will last at least that long.  He was a founding member, and also started Oscilloscope Laboratories, a truly independent film distribution company that's given voice to some great directors and producers.
Earlier in the week, NYC-DJ Mick Boogie  put together a mix tape in honor of their induction in to the Rock N' Roll hall of fame,  and will be collaborating on a t-shirt with Homage, and all proceeds going towards the charities that MCA supported.  A timely tribute.
Check out the mix, and remember a great artist.

Louie Armstrong remixed, Nujabe's "Luv (sic) 1-5", amphetamines, a live Mickey Moonlight mix, geographic imaging systems, Aeroplane's April mix, and environmental economics.

Miike Snow x Thomas Gold & Dirty South

Here's a huge remix of "The Wave", done justice by Thomas Gold.  It's ripped off of Pete Tong's show, so the quality isn't great, but it should be on Beatport soon.  Also, Dirty South's take on "Devil's Work".  The remixes off of Happy to You have been absolutely unreal so far.
