Most people at Wanee didn't appreciate Dene n' Gene's presence, especially after a really soulful set from Taj Mahal. As Deaner said after playing a few songs, "It's really too early for this shit." They played the classics, opening with "Pork Roll, Egg & Cheese" right into "Bananas & Blow", doing an epic cover of Bowie's "Let's Dance", and encoring with "Roses Are Free". They painted the main stage brown, and then I had to go take a nap.

I thought the band was great at Wanee but Deaner was right; waaay too early!!! They should have been the night closers on the mushroom stage!! :D
