The Talking Heads are one of the best bands to have ever graced our collective eardrums. Many have attempted to cover their songs, specifically "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)", most doing super shitty jobs, while a select few have done the song justice and given it a new life of it's own.
1) Miles Fisher- This is hands down the most creative and well done video and re-make of a song I've seen. Writer, actor, musician, Christian Bale clone, dude's got it all.
2) String Cheese Incident - This was from Rothbury 09', aka The Comeback Incident. The spacey bluegrass jam in the middle is a nice addition.
3) Cornmeal - A true bluegrass cover
4) Arcade Fire - Ultra perfectionists, they even went as far as having each person play an unfamiliar instrument for the cover. (Byrne named the song "Naive Melody" for that reason originally. Each member of the Talking Heads swapped instruments when playing this song to give it an unpolished feel.)
