Deadmau5 - "A City In Florida (Orlando)"

The bonus track offered in the U.K with the purchase of advanced tickets, or on some copies of 4x4. Orlando represent?

Elephants - "Ants"

After consulting google, myspace, and wikipedia, I have no idea who Elephant are or where this song came from. I can only gather from the youtube comments that their lead singer is originally from Leeds, in Yorkshire, and I think that means something about being close to London. Voila.

Edit: I didn't look hard enough, here's their bandcamp, and this is their first single.

Wale - "The Break Up Song"

Wale isn't someone I usually keep track of, or listen to frequently, or listen to at all. But this video was too good to pass up, it's genius. Morgan Freeman's voice is the whipped cream on top, but the reality vs. expectations are great. I just like the video, but if you dig the song the link is below.

Good Old War - "That's Some Dream"

GREAT, GRAND, WONDERFUL.
Off of their 2010 self-titled release, 'Good Old War'. Really though, this is a great song.

"I know everyone would want me to say
I'm not afraid of being alone

I'm gonna live I'm alright,
I'm gonna die it's alright
I'm okay"

All Good Festival

Two hours ago the gods of West Virginia graced the world with the lineup for All Good. So far there are about 20 bands lined up including Yonder Mountain, Furthur, Big Gigantic, Primus, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, and Keller Williams, to name a few. Yeehaw!

Let the Children Techno

An Ed Banger collection and compilation by DJ Mehdi and Busy P, featuring Breakbot, Cassius, Skream, and blah blah blah. A great soundtrack for those late night ESEA scrims. Below is a favorite, "The Invisible Landscape" - djedjotronic. Get the whole album though.

Phish - "Specimens of Beauty" & "Tracking"

The documentaries just keep coming, and I'm going to marry youtube pretty soon. "Specimens of Beauty" was originally included with the first wave of releases of 'Undermind', but now is available on the Tube. Who could have guessed. Hide your kids and hide your wife, "Tracking" is filmed and edited solely by the animals and children which live inside Mike Gordon's head.

"While in the studio recording the album 'Hoister' I sported a video camera. Sometimes I pushed the record button. Others, the stop. Alas, I edited. Using machines small yet sweet, I assembled Tracking. This isn't about railroad tracks or stuffing things up the tender nostril. It's about 48 tracks of sound, adjacent on strips of plastic. Like mixing lilac petals, coriander, chunks of butter, and fennel into a soup. Tracking is the recording of different sounds, adjacent on strips of plastic. The sounds are adjacent on strips of plastic. (Am I confusing you? What are you an ape child?) Anway, I hope you enjoy this special new item."

Steel Pulse - "Farmhouse"

Off of 'Dub Like An Antelope - Legends of Reggae Celebrate Phish' from 2009. I've been in a reggae groove lately so I'm a little biased towards this compilation, not to mention they're all Phish covers, but I suggest purchasing it. Featured: Jimmy Buffett, The Wailers, Dave Matthews, Arlo Guthrie, Hot Tuna, Tom Tom Club, Pavement and Los Lobos.
Boogie on reggae woman.

Bedouin Soundclash - "Brutal Hearts ft. Coeur de Pirate"

The most underrated reggae / rock / ska group of all time is back after years of silence. "Brutal Hearts" has a Pulp Fiction-esque bassline, with simple drums and great vocals by Coeur de Pirates aka Beatrice Martin. Their newest album 'Light The Horizon' came out in late September 2010, and somehow managed to stay under the radar. Beatrice Martin and Jay Malinowski of Bedouin Soundclash also recorded an E.P together under the name Armistice, which you can check out here. If you've never heard Bedouin Soundclash before, do yourself a favor and check out the extra jammys below and grab their first album 'Sounding a Mosiac'.

Cut Copy - "A Tale of Two Journeys (Mixtape)"

Perfect for a sunny afternoon such as this. Cut Copy has stitched together a sweet mix tape, taking mostly from dreamy pop and relaxed electro, but also from KISS, Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac. However, there is no playlist, but if you can get every song right and post it on his soundcloud you'll recieve some sort of bright shiny prize. Good luck, but mostly just enjoy the good vibes.

Dirty Heads - "Paint It Black"

Sometimes I forget how great these dudes are. 'Any Port In a Storm' is one of only a few albums I regularly listen to from front to back. They're currently doing a bunch of shit with Rome, who is also singing for Sublime in Bradley's place when they tour. If it's sunny out, just put this CD on, but here's their cover of the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black", and a super special bonus jammy.

Panda Bear - "Slow Motion"

Eat, Shoots and leaves? Panda Bear is a founding member of Animal Collective, as well as the experimental solo artist responsible for this song. If you liked the 60's, then you'll love this. And the artwork by Chris Dyer.

Paul & Fritz Kalkbrenner - "Sky and Sand"

Nothing upsets me more than the fact that there are still videos on Youtube in 240p, but this song makes up for it.

Madvillian - "Money Folder (Four Tet remix)"

I'm running out of fruits and vegetables to use as pictures, for some reason I didn't think that would happen. However, Madvillian is a collaboration between MF Doom & Madlib that took place a while ago in 2002. Four Tet does the rhyme and beat justice with a great remix.

Electric Forest Festival

The gods have spoken, the planets have aligned, the skys are opening up and all is right again in the cosmos. After a one year hiatus, the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, MI will once again be hosting a festival. June 30th-July 3rd; bring your cheap schwag, heady vegan crystals and ice cold t-shirts, I'll see you on the road.

Plus, check out the dude who did this dope poster work for Rothbury 2009.

The Honeydrips - "Fall From A Height"

It's one of those songs that ends up being on repeat after one or five listens. One of several singles released by The Honeydrips, aka Mikael Carlsson, back in 2007. Unfortunately as of last year The Honeydrips are defunct, but I'm glad he managed to make this before that happened.

"Well the universe is everything, and if the universe is expanding, then someday it will break apart and that will be the end of everything."

Young Galaxy - "We Have Everything"

Fuck yeah well done music videos. Synth, excellent female vocals and colorful animation get me every time. Check out this new track by Montreal-ers Young Galaxy, and if you're into it, their new album 'Invisible Republic' is where it's at.

Fleet Foxes - "Helplessness Blues"

The only Fleet Foxes song I had heard before this was "White Winter Hymnal". I've never heard something sound so similar to Simon & Garfunkel or MMJ while simultaneously having it's own unique feel. Dudes got a great voice, and in the bass-drenched world we live in, "Helplessness Blues" is welcome refreshment.

J Mascis - "Is It Done"

A while back, last year to be exact, I posted the first leaked track off J Mascis' upcoming album. This is the second one I've come across so far, and it's just as good as the first. No one plays it quite like he. Linkage courtesy of Sub Pop Records.

Yonder Mountain String Band at The Social

A little late on posting this, but it was a long weekend. Yonder Mountain String Band graced The Social with their presence for the third year in a row last week. Every time they play there it's like a personal show, you can't beat it. Plus we hung out with Adam Aijala's mom, they covered "Steam Powered Aero-Plane" and "No Expectations", shots of crown royal were only $3, and Jeff Austin stared at me with his glassy, bloodshot eyes during one of his solos. A fucking great night all around. Check out the videos below: "Sidewalk Star", an amazing cover of "Come Together", and a quick clip of Adam shitting on everyone's face.

Mufasa, Douster, Katy P. - "Teenage Lion Strobe (Kayn & Hawkes Bootleg)"

First off, thanks you John Herbert. Second off, this is the most epic shit I've heard all month. It has everything you want and need, all packed into one neat bag.

Angus & Julia Stone - "Big Jet Plane (Adam G Remix)"

"Since the beginning of time 'twas written in the stones that one day a band would come. Well that band has come and now they are here to cum again in your ear pussies."

This song is good, shout out to team PB&J.
